Toe Width is the bottom width of an Highway which is constructed in Embankment.

How to calculate Toe Width :

Half width of proposed road top width + Height of Road Crust X Horizontal slope 

1. Assume 4 meter median, 14 meter Carriageway, 2 meter Paved Shoulder in both sides, 2 meter Earthen shoulder and, slope is given 2:1, and Road Crust is 2 meter.

2. Now we have all required details for calculate Toe Width.

3. Put All these values in Formula.

4. Take half width of road top here full road top is 24 meter.

5. We have to take half width that is 12 meter.

6. According to formula 12+2x2.

7. To get full bottom width of road multiple by 2.

7. Now we have 2m x 28m that is 56 meter Toe Width  or bottom width of highway.
