How To Calculated Slope in Road By Auto Level ll Calculate slope in roads

 Now we will Learn how to calculate slope/camber in road. By following these steps :

First of all we have an formula that is 

                            = Upper Edge of Road - Lower Edge of Road / Carriageway width X 100

Readings

Step 1: We should have set-up Auto Level machine.

Step 2: We should take a reading on the upper edge of the road assume that it is 1.532 M.

Step 3:Then go to downside of road and take another reading that is 1.675 M. Remember that Auto Level not be changed.

Step 4: Now measure the width of carriageway width assume that it is 7 M.

Step 5: Put all the values in the formula = 1.532 - 1.675 / 7 X 100 

            After solve that  we got = -0.143/ 7 X 100

                                                   = -0.0204 X 100

                                                   = -2.04 %

The result we get is in persentage. 

Point to be remember the slope / Camber is always is - (negative).

By this method we can calculate any road camber/ slope
